The Athlete

Born in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and refined through years in California's elite fitness communities, Mick is a nationally respected performance coach and competitive hybrid athlete with a deeply integrated, science-forward approach to training.

His foundation ultimately led him to HYROX and hybrid racing, where strength and endurance have to work together. Today, Mick actively trains and competes in both CrossFit and HYROX, bringing firsthand experience into every athlete interaction.

He understands the demands of performance because he lives them himself: managing training volume, building an engine, developing strength, prioritizing recovery, pacing under fatigue, and learning how to execute when it matters on race day.

For EMBR members, that means being coached by someone who doesn't just understand the methodology. He trains it, tests it, competes in it, and continually refines it.

The Coach

Mick's journey began in 2012 with an introduction to superfoods that sparked a lifelong passion for health optimization. That curiosity took him to the School of Natural Healing and deep into the raw food and longevity scene in Los Angeles. Determined to understand the science behind wellness, he went on to study chemistry and physics, building the foundation for his holistic, evidence-based coaching style.

He is certified in Active Isolated Stretching (AIS) and holds CrossFit L1, HYROX L1, and NASM CPT credentials, allowing him to fuse recovery, mobility, and strength into one complete coaching philosophy. Over the past decade he has coached at several of the nation's top gyms, specializing in CrossFit, HYROX, and high-performance personal training. He currently serves as Assistant Personal Training Director at Life Time Boca Raton, one of the most profitable locations in the country.

The Vision

As Athletic Performance Director, Mick is responsible for helping shape the training philosophy and performance standard behind EMBR.

His approach blends evidence-based methodology with hands-on coaching, ensuring that every session has a purpose and every athlete has a path forward. From strength and engine development to mobility, recovery, and HYROX-specific preparation, the goal isn't simply to make workouts harder. It's to make training smarter, measurable, and sustainable.

Mick believes the best performance programs don't just prepare someone for their next race. They build a stronger and more capable athlete for the long term.

Whether someone is preparing for their first HYROX, chasing a personal best, competing for a podium, or simply discovering what they're capable of, Mick's goal remains the same:

Unlock your fullest potential and build strength that lasts a lifetime.
