The Athlete

Born and raised in Rochester, New York, Alyssa has spent most of her life competing.

At Skidmore College, she captained the NCAA women's soccer team, earned team MVP honors, and received the Community Service Award. Her competitive career continued well beyond college, taking her from collegiate soccer to competitive bodybuilding, CrossFit, Olympic Weightlifting, HYROX, and back onto the soccer field at the semi-professional level.

As an NGA Natural Figure Competitor, she placed Top 3 across every category she entered. She later competed in CrossFit and Olympic Weightlifting events while continuing her soccer career, including an invitation to join Dade County FC's semi-professional squad in 2024. She has also served as an assistant goalkeeper coach for the Skidmore women's soccer program.

Today, as a Certified Personal Trainer and HYROX athlete, Alyssa brings those experiences together: strength, endurance, discipline, competition, and the belief that there is always another level to chase.

The Operator

Alyssa spent nearly a decade at Goldman Sachs, beginning her career in Wealth Management on a brokerage trading desk before transitioning into the firm's renewable energy business. There, she expanded her experience into energy markets and environmental commodities.

When the renewable energy platform spun out of Goldman Sachs to become MN8 Energy, Alyssa continued with the company through its transition into an independent, high-growth business. The move placed her in a startup environment, giving her firsthand experience helping build processes, navigate rapid change, and scale alongside a growing organization. Today, she leads a multi-million-dollar environmental commodities portfolio, overseeing trading strategy, market exposure, and the commercial decisions behind it.

Her experience across trading, risk management, and high-growth environments has shaped how she approaches EMBR, with discipline, accountability, thoughtful decision-making, and a relentless focus on execution.

Alyssa holds a Bachelor of Science from Skidmore College and a Master's in Finance from Johns Hopkins University.

The Vision

Despite the intensity of her corporate role, Alyssa trained in the early mornings and on weekends, living the hybrid athlete's lifestyle long before it had a name. Her personal dedication to performance, structure, and community-driven competition is the cornerstone of her vision for EMBR.

She wanted a place where serious training didn't require choosing between a traditional gym, boutique fitness studio, and endurance program.

So she decided to build it.
